Tips For A Comfortable Hospital Stay
At Clarke County Hospital, your health and safety is our concern. Because of this, we respectively request that you:
Valuables
We urge you to leave all valuables, including jewelry, at home.
Lost Belongings
If you lose something during your stay, please contact Robin at 641-342-2184.
Clothing
We understand you will likely be more comfortable in your own pajamas, slippers, and bathrobe. If you don't want to hassle with bringing these items to the hospital, we dol provide these items for you.
Medications
Our hospital pharmacy distributes medicines as prescribed by physicians during your stay at CCH. We ask that you bring a list of your medications and their dosages. We encourage you not to bring the medication with you unless instructed to do so by your physician(s).
Smoking
Clarke County Hospital is a smoke-free facility, and smoking is not allowed on campus. If you feel that this could become a problem for you, please ask the admitting nurse about resources that are available to assist you in quitting smoking.
Alcohol/Drugs
The possession and consumption of alcohol and non-prescribed drugs is prohibited on the hospital campus.
Going Home
Your physician will arrange for you to check out of the hospital. Discharge procedures will be discussed with you by your physicians, nurses and social services.
Meals
During your stay, our dietary department will take care of all of your eating needs. CCH staff prepares and serves three meals every day. Additionally, a variety of snacks are available upon request. Our cafeteria is also open to visiting family and friends.
Mail
Please direct outgoing mail to your nurse, who will place it in the outgoing mail. Our mail is delivered daily.
