HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT CODER
Full - Time position: The position is responsible for accurately coding and abstracting all types of patient records - inpatient, outpatient, surgical and emergency room - utilizing ICD-9 diagnosis /procedure, CPT-4, HCPCS and E/M procedure coding methodologies. Responsible for completeness and accuracy of medical record documentation in accordance with accrediting and regulatory agency requirements. Responsible for analysis of charges and documentation to ensure accurate charge capture and billing compliance is met. Knowledge of and experience with ICD-9 diagnosis/procedure, CPT-4, HCPCS, E&M coding using encoder. PC skills utilizing word processing and Excel. In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and disease processes. RHIT required with experience preferred.
Laboratory Technologist
This position accurately provides accurate and timely clinical diagnostic information to health care professionals for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease processes. This position with Clarke County Hospital requires a graduate of an accredited program with American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent certification/eligibility. Our lab performs a wide variety of laboratory tests utilizing state of the art technology. New grads are welcome to apply. Hours and days are flexible. Grade 21.
ASSISTANT TO DIRECTORS
This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Director, the Director of Outcomes and the Director of Patient Care Services with varied tasks and responsibilities. This position prioritizes assigned tasks daily regarding the Medical Staff credentialing process and ongoing required documentation of the hospital's personnel records. Manages training, certification and license spreadsheet for all hospital staff. Keeps up to date on MSDS sheets. This position runs the hospital's payroll on a bi-weekly basis. This position receives applicants, employees, patients, volunteers, vendors and visitors to the Administration building and appropriately directs them. This position supports and maintains the policy review process spreadsheet and posts updated hospital policies on the intranet. This position also assists the Directors with different projects. Broad computer base knowledge, strong communication and organizational skills, and confidentiality are key to this position. Grade 15
MED SURG STAFF RN -- 60 HOUR PER PAY PERIOD
This position is leader of a patient care team that provides professional nursing care in an individual manner to patients of the hospital considering physical, psychological, environmental, spiritual, social, economic and rehabilitative needs according to established standards and practices. This position assists the physician during treatment and exam and administers medications per physician order. This position observes, records and reports appropriately the symptoms, reactions and progress of patients, and provides patient education on illness management, disease prevention, and health promotion. This position works 60 hours per pay period with Day/night 12-hour shift rotation and shared week-end and holiday rotation. Education: H.S. diploma plus Iowa Registered Nurse license is required. Grade 24
BUILDING AND GROUNDSKEEPER
Responsible for maintaining hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary and attractive condition in a cost effective, efficient manner. Must have the ability to service and maintain equipment such as mowers, sweepers, pick-up, trailers, etc. Must be able to drive in Des Moines, and surrounding towns to pick up parts, supplies, etc., and may be required to pull a trailer. Have knowledge of diving manual transmissions. Will be required to work on task requests and PM system. Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license. Completion of a horticulture course or grounds keeping program is desirable but not mandatory. Must be able to obtain or already have an ornamental and turf pest control pesticide applicator's certificate (30T). Must know how to operate the wide variety of equipment used in grounds keeping. Grade 8
