2019 Community Health Needs Assessment Public Forum

October 21, 2019

In June 2019, Clarke County Public Health collaborated with Clarke County Hospital and launched an initiative to better understand the health needs of the community. This process included conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to provide statistical data on the community’s health status. A collaborative approach was utilized through meetings and discussions. 394 members of our community participated in the survey, and we will use these results to help decide what area to focus on in developing a Health Improvement Plan.

On November 7th, the first community forum will be held at the Osceola Public Library to review the results of the survey. Community members are invited to attend this meeting! Community input is very important in the process of identifying and determining primary health and wellness concerns that will be addressed in the 2019 Health Improvement Plan for Clarke County.

A second meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, November 21st, from 4 – 6 pm at the Administrative building of Clarke County Hospital. Additional discussion is needed to narrow down the main focus areas to be addressed in the 2019 Health Improvement Plan for Clarke County. Please make sure to attend this meeting. It is valuable to have any, and all, ideas for this discussion.
