CCDC Donates $150,000 to Complete Transform Your Community's Healthcare Pledge

On Wednesday, August 14, the Clarke County Development Corporation (CCDC) fulfilled their generous commitment to the Clarke County Hospital Foundation’s "Transform Your Community’s Health Care" campaign with a donation of $150,000.  Chief Patient Experience Officer, Melanie Boyd, and Foundation President, Ron Schlichte accepted the payment on behalf of the Hospital and Foundation.

In 2015, the Clarke County Development Corporation made a $500,000 pledge commitment in support of Clarke County Hospital's $24 million "Transform Your Community's Health Care" campaign that resulted in the renovation and expansion of CCH (opening in the spring of 2016). The "Transform" renovation and expansion project provided Family Medicine and Walk-in Clinic space for the community, an expanded Emergency Room and Infusion area, a new entrance with enhanced patient experience spaces (individual registration rooms, snack/gift shop, waiting area) and many other systems and space upgrades throughout the Hospital.  The CCDC's pledge required the CCH Foundation to match the pledge, dollar for dollar. The campaign, including the commitment from the CCDC, raised over $1,053,000. With this donation, the CCDC's commitment to their campaign pledge has been completed.
