Clarke County Hospital Board of Trustees Honored at IHA Governance Forum

The Clarke County Hospital Board of Trustees was recognized and honored for their participation in the Hospital Board and Trustee Certification Program at the recent Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) Governance Forum. This certification program through the IHA recognizes trustees who have completed healthcare-specific education for at least two years and confirms that, individually and collectively, their board is following governance best practices. The IHA has designed the Hospital Board and Trustee Certification program to help hospitals use governance best practices and promote care coordination and the best use of resources. This demonstrates to lawmakers, regulators, physicians, employees, the business community and other community stakeholders that Iowa hospitals understand and embrace the need for governance accountability, govern according to a standard of excellence, and embrace community accountability and transparency.

Clarke County Hospital Board of Trustees Amy Lampe and Terry Jacobsen accepted the award on behalf of the Clarke County Hospital Board of Trustees at this year’s Governance Forum.
