UnityPoint Partnership
Clarke County Hospital is an affiliate partner with UnityPoint Health - Des Moines through both a formal management agreement and a Critical Access Hospital network agreement. This relationship enables Clarke County Hospital to retain its governance structure while taking advantage of greater system-wide resources, clinical platforms, best practices and many other advantages which will benefit the people in in our community. CCH remains locally governed by a Board of Trustees while key administration positions are employed by UnityPoint Health - Des Moines to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital and its employees.
Through this affiliation, Clarke County Hospital gets the management expertise, educational offerings, and resources of a larger organization that would not otherwise be readily available to a county hospital. The affiliation created through the management agreement and Critical Access Hospital network agreement with UnityPoint Health - Des Moines makes CCH a vital member of Iowa's largest healthcare provider network.
