Health Promotion
Health promotion is the process of enabling people to increase control over, and to improve their health. Clarke County Hospital strives to provide and partner in community resources that enhance knowledge and contribute toward better health behavior.
In 2019, Clarke County Hospital and Clarke County Public Health conducted a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to gain insight of local health issues. The results will help both organizations develop and prioritize health services and programs to address relevant health issues. Areas of emphasis as identified in the survey responses and through three community forums are: Mental Health, Child Abuse, and Substance Abuse. Health Improvement Plans (HIP) are included with the Community Health Needs Assessment reports.
